The course is built on 3 lessons which every lesson is 2 hours long.
every lesson is dedicated to a different part in the learning process.
We put a tremendous effort on making each lesson effective and safe.
Kitesurf is an extreme sport, therefore in the first lesson we will go over the safety measures, how to prepare the equipment, how to know which condition suits the student’s riding level and theory of kites as well.
After theory we will start practicing on-land with normal size kite (not a trainer kite) we can skip trainer kite thanks to a special training method using short lines in order to reduce pull of the kite by that the student is gaining confidents in the kite and saving valuable time.
We will continue practicing kite control and have a deeper understanding of the kite’s behavior. We will learn how to create power, lunch and land the kite as well as in the water.
In the water we will practice on power-strokes, body-drag upwind and re-launching.
If the student reached a sufficient control with the kite, we can move on to start practicing water-start and eventually riding.
We are using “BBtalkin” Radio contacts which makes student-instructor communication much easier, leading to much more student’s success.
The cost for 3 lessons, 2 hours each (6 hours total) is 1950 NIS₪.
There is also an option for single lesson for the cost of 650 NIS₪
After the course, it’s possible to have additional lessons at a discounted price of 600 NIS₪
We also offer two-people course for a reduced price.
There are two good seasons for kiting in the Mediterranean beaches in Israel.
Spring: Mid-march till mid-June
Fall: End of august till mid-November
Those are the time you can expect northern wind and warm sunny conditions.
During Summer time around mid-June till end of august, the winds are light in our area and are stronger in Sea of Galilee or Eilat which require higher level of riding due to the complexity of the spot.
-The course’s goal is to bring the rider to a level where he is comfortable to start riding and practicing without supervision. Usually 3 lessons are not enough in order to be a kitesurfer who has mastered the basics for riding, this comes with hours of self-practice.
-During the spring and fall seasons, when the wind is coming from the north. You can book a lesson every day of the week and the hours and between noon until sunset, as long as there is a forecast for a windy day.
-No, there is not an official regulation that requires a certification.
-No, having an experience with other water/extreme sports can be helpful but it is not required.
-Poleg beach is one of the only wide and sandy beach strips available to kitesurfing, especially in the center area of Israel. The wide and open space and sandy beach provides a safe space, an aspect that is integral to the course and for beginners alike.
-The course and the sport is allowed from the age of 13-58.
-You will have a good grasp and control of the kite, you will be able to go into the water and put in use everything that we learned during the course. The real progress comes only after the course when you put down the hours and practice. The course will grant you enough tools in order to practice alone.
-During the windy days of the season we are always at the beach, available to help our students with some good tips and observations from time to time. On top of that our community is also there to ease and help with the kite progression journey.
-The seasons that the course is happening are spring and fall, meaning from March until June and again from September until December.
Sometimes we can find available days in summer and winter but those days are rare.
-It is recommended to bring sunscreen, water, towel, bathing suit and sunglasses. the rest we will take care of.
